Dads in town

My Dad was in town for the weekend, so what better way to see Telluride in the winter than on skis. My dad hasn't been skiing for about 30 years, but it was a nice day, there is not much else to do here in the winter, and, well hey, skiing doesn't always have to cost anything. I think he did pretty well. Here he is starting to get his ski on!
Getting better!

Looks like he got it!

He said that after the first 20 minutes he was ready to quit, but after our decided two runs, what happens? He asks if we can go for one more! Gotta love him!

New Blog!

Just wanted to let everyone know about a new project I am working on. It is a communal blog located at digorbeburied.blogspot.com. The idea of the new blog is to give any and everyone the ability to post what they want. Share photos, organize group rides, stories, whatever. Hopefully the new blog will help bring our already tight nit community a little closer and inspire us all to go a little further. The idea came from my friend CVO's blog, jedionabike.blogspot.com, It started as his own personal blog and morphed into a great asset for the bicycling community in Lincoln. He as since started his own personal blog, which has yet to be overtaken by the community. We can only hope for the success of the Folks From Lincoln site. Thanks CVO for pioneering that technology into our community. All that being said, posts here may become a little less often for a little bit while i try to get the new blog up and running. I encourage everyone to check out the new site. But as it is communal, I don't know what kind of content will be involved, so be aware of that. Thanks, and now heres some pictures.

Colorado in Summer

So none of these are my photo's. We can thank Dan Goss for them. But just thought I'd get everyone ready for spring and summer by straying a little from the typical snow pics. These were all taken on Tess' trip on the Colorado Trail last summer. Tess' was the only one she went with to hike the whole thing. Mali could take no more past Silverton.

ah spring

It hasn't snowed in ages. Really it hasn't snowed a good snow since the new year. To top all of that off the last few weeks have seen up to 60 degree days and some nights of not freezing, not to mention 80 mph gusts of wind. That being said, the day was full of groomers with friends and drinking in the sun! Good times! Here is a view of Mt Wilson from Gorrono's. You may recognize this mountain as the one on the side of that Coors Light that you are hopefully not drinking.

Pritchet bringing more refreshments. MMM!! This is one of the original barns on the ranch, but now it is an overpriced on mountain bar.

Refreshments gone. See the trick is to buy the $2 pabst at the top of the mountain and ski em down to gorrono's (Bottle of bud $5.) where the wind is less and the sun a little warmer. Economics lesson for today is now over.

Andreas and Billy enjoying the sun!
